Vacation :-)

At last! We are going on vacation early tomorrow morning!


I am so excited :-). In the next 3 weeks I will find myself somewhere here - on the French Riviera. We rent a house circa 10 km from Cannes.

The fragrance of summer

We will be going on vacation soon so I really should be packing... But I made this LO instead :-).

The picture is of my daughter smelling some flowers she found in the garden, sayng that they smell like summer.

Ismaki challenge #23

Here's my entry for this week's ISMAKI challenge. Great sketch, us always, and we've also been challenged to use just three colours.

I used a cute stamp from hÄnglar & stÄnglar and coloured it with Promakers and Prismacolor pencils and computer generated the sentiment.

Using poststamps...

Mine bidrag til maikonkurransen på Hobbyscrap. Tema var vår, vi skulle bruke friske vårfarger, lage egen blomst og bruke frimerke(r). Kortet ble ganske OK, synes jeg, men LOen ble merkeligere enn jeg hadde forventet. Men jeg vant i begge kategorier.


I made this card and layout for the May contest at Hobbyscrap. The theme was "Spring", we had to use fresh colors, to make a flower on our own and to add a poststamp or two. I was pleased with the card but the layout turned out much more crazy then I expected... Anyway, I won in both categories.

Encaustic Art

Til vanlig vil jeg ikke ha noe med strykejern å gjøre når jeg lager kort, men dette var skikkelig gøy!
Bakgrunnen her er laget ved hjelp av strykejern og voks - Encaustic Art altså. Jeg har aldri prøvd dette før, men jeg synes at det gikk ganske greit! Resultatet var ikke så verst heller :-)
Treet er stemplet på acetat og embossed.

Gunn Marit - tusen takk, vennen, for at jeg fikk låne utstyret! Snart lander mine egne saker i postkassa :-)

It was really funny working with this card. I made the back ground using the Encaustic Art technique - with an iron and waxes. My first try but the result was not so bad... well, in my opinion :-). The trees are stamped on acetate and embossed.

Ismaki challenge #22

Here is the card I did for this week's challenge at Ismaki - the card for my son who will be celebrating his 13th birthday soon.

Et lite rosa babykort - måtte bare bruke opp et motiv som jeg hadde liggende ferdig fargelagt (motivet kommer forresten fra Whipper snapper).

En fantastisk helg...

Jeg har hatt en fantastisk stempelhelg sammen med en gjeng med koselige og kreative stempeldamer i Stavanger. Jeg har laget kort, skravlet masse og har fått inspirasjon i bøttevis :-)
Tusen takk til Ruth, Elsi og Nina for at dere var så snille og arrangerte treffet for oss :-)

Her kommer 2 av kortene jeg har laget i helgen. De er DT-kort for InkyWings, med de nye stemplene derfra som ble lansert i mars måned.

For you - with hÄnglar & stÄnglar

I made this card using a stamp by hÄnglar & stÄnglar.
I found out that this card suits this week`s challenge at Cute Card Thursday as well, which is using patterned paper.

The girl is colored with ProMakers and Prismacolor pencils. I used MME`s patterned paper - Wild Asparagus line, flowers and Flock Alphabet from Prima, QK swirls, a page from en old book and laces.

Full of colors

I made these 2 cards for the april contest at Hobbyscrap :-) and I won - so funny!!
All participants got a kit from the shop (papers, journaling cards, ribbons, buttons and flowers) and we should make min. 2 cards (or something else) with that kit. The clue was that we needed to use all the papers - all 8 of them! - on each card we made :-)
Well, that was pretty funny, because some of the papers didn`t match the others so well :-)


Cards are quite big - 13 x 21 cm and 15 x 18 cm. I used stamps from Stampington and Ett Trykk, embossed and colored with Distress ink.

Almost teenager :-)

This was so much fun to do! My son will be 13 years old soon and I wanted to make someting showing how he really is right now. The text stripes say: "still a little bit childish, clever at school, chess and guitar player, active in biathlon, sometimes pretty lazy, likes his computer, makes a lot of crazy things".
I did this LO for Hobbyscrap.

Materials:
Papers from BasicGrey - Periphery line, Hambly overlay, chipboards from BasicGrey and Scenic Route, stickers from DaisyD`s, gaffer tape from 7 Gypsies and transparent scrapbooking tape from Prima, ribbons, buttons and metal embellishement.

Some details :-).

I simply love to work with Prima`s clear tape. It is a really great produkt - easy to use and the result is pretty cool!

Ismaki challenge #21

Here's my take on the latest Ismaki sketch :-)

I have used this wonderful embossed paper from Imaginisce and the stamp from Stamps Happen. The sentiment stamp by Ett Trykk. The image was coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I embellished the card with Prima flowers, lace and rhinestones.

Cute Card Thursday - challenge # 11

This is my card for this week`s challenge on Cute Card Thursday.

The color combo is pink and brown with white and green. The image is "Bride and groom" by InkyWings as is the sentiment.
The printed paper is from a Shabby Cottage Studio. The embellishments are Prima flowers and leaves, white lace and pearls .
